Long Night Ahead...
Currently posting from the hospital room where I snuck onto the wireless network that's not supposed to be working. =)
So Betty was induced at around noontime today. We pushed back from an 8AM start due to a crowded house here at the hospital. Luckily the suites here are single patient only, so we have privacy. After the nurse induced with Pitocin, it took a while for the contractions to build up enough for her to reach 4 cm. We got the epidural going. Drugs are good, but comes with a heavy price. Gone are the pains associated with contractions. In its place are bad nausea, chills, heartburn and the inability to move or feel anything below the waist. Doctor broke her water shortly after the epidural and we're now waiting the long wait for her to reach 10cm before the pushing begins. As of this post (9:30PM), mom and baby are doing fine and resting. I expect the next post to be after the baby's born.
Pray for energy for mom to push and for a safe continuation of the delivery. It's only a matter of time now...
